Course Overview
Working as part of a team is crucial to the success of any organisation. People need to be able to work together in a variety of ways, taking responsibility as individuals, working in functional groups and contributing to project groups for specific tasks. Cross-organisational and multi-disciplinary groups are becoming increasingly important ways of achieving results and remaining competitive in the current deregulated global economic climate.
To create a successful team dynamic it is necessary to establish a stable and effective relationship between individual team members and also between the team and other groups.
This three (3) day training will cover the essential techniques and strategies so that the participants will be able to work better as a team, understand each other and will be able to appreciate and implement ways of working what will make their team deliver outstanding results.
Training Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Understand what role they play in a team environment based upon theories of team dynamics and what this means for effective team working
- Understand their own preferred learning and working style and that of their team members so they can maximize productivity and effectiveness
- Understand and appreciate the world according to other people and how to use this to get the best out of each team member
- Understand their own leadership strengths and weaknesses in the team environment
- Appreciate and understand the demands and pressures on other people and how to work together to achieve common goals
- Apply advanced communication skills to get what they want, when they want it and from whomever!

- Understanding your team role by setting team objectives
- Understanding group dynamics
